Southern Federation of Professional Fire Fighters Mission Statement
What is the Southern Federation of Professional Fire Fighters?
This organization is known as the SOUTHERN FEDERATION OF PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS, and was organized February 2, 1995, in Nashville, Tennessee.
The purpose of the Southern Federation of Professional Fire Fighters is to provide the best possible resources, services and communications for Southern Federation affiliates of the IAFF; to develop a united effort and consensus of opinion with regards to our common concerns in the South, with the goal of having a positive effect on the IAFF, its constitution and By-laws, policies and resolutions.
The Southern Federation of Professional Fire Fighters encompasses the IAFF State Associations and Local IAFF affiliates in good standing within the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. Associate membership is allowed to any member or affiliate of the IAFF of any state not currently affiliated with the federation and IAFF members at large.
The Association holds an Annual Conference in which delegates of the organization attend. The Conference includes educational modules, presentations that assist delegates in accordance with the organization purpose.
